Full Time AV Technicain
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Audiovisual Technician in Silver Spring, MD for our clients in the entertainment industry.
Successful candidates should have between 1 - 3 years of proven experience in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and schedule equipment delivery/setup & pickups by going over the daily reports.
- Provide expert technical support to meet customers’ expectations over the computer, phone or in person.
- Prior customer service experience is required in the hospitality industry.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues including internet, e-mail, WAN, applications, and all infrastructure.
- Complete software updates and any product updates as required.
- Availability to perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV systems and related equipment.
- Able to perform setup when needed over the weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to follow/troubleshoot AV signal diagram.
- At least 1-year of experience in the hospitality business.
- Prior experience with multimedia installations and support.
- Willingness to travel to other states when needed.
- Physically fit to carry 50 lbs. without hesitation.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet without losing control.
- Any certification in AV or related field is a plus.
- What You Will Be Doing
- Greet all customers over the phone, walk-ins, and through emails.
- Suggest customers in terms of their requirement of AV equipment for their event.
- Prep/email detailed estimate by going over the customer notes.
- Follow-up with the customer and add/delete items (if needed).
- Checkin/Checkout equipment by following Company's guidelines.
What We Need
- Typing skill of at least 40WPM is needed.
- Prior experience (at least 1 year) in the hospitality industry is a plus.
- A valid driver's license with no background issue is required.
- Associate or a diploma in Audio Engineering.
- Last, but not least, good customer communication skill is a must.
